Through his profound spiritual experience, Yogananda opens our hearts to the joy, beauty, and limitless possibilities that exist within each person’s inner life. The science of religion
Albert Einstein once said, “Science without religion is lame, and religion without science is blind.” In The Science of Religion , Paramahansa Yogananda shows why the answers to the crucial questions of both science and religion rest not on academic inquiry or blind faith, but on direct personal experience of a higher reality that underlies and sustains all life.
With compelling argument, he examines the relative effectiveness of different approaches to this goal—from traditional intellectual and religious disciplines to metaphysical methods that go beyond the conscious and unconscious mind to a superconscious understanding. By removing the veils of dogma and doctrine, he redefines religion from a starting point that is both universal and deeply personal.

God Talks With Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita.
Royal Science of God-realization
The Bhagavad Gita has inspired seekers of truth in both East and West for centuries, but its deepest meaning—conveyed through symbols and allegories—has often been hidden from modern readers. In God Talks With Arjuna, Paramahansa Yogananda provides an extraordinarily thorough and insightful translation and commentary that opens up the psychological, spiritual, and metaphysical layers of the text.
The work illuminates the great main metaphor of the Gita: the inner struggle between the higher inclinations of the soul and the forces that bind man to ignorance and suffering. Yogananda shows how the teachings of the Gita lead the seeker towards dharma – right understanding and right action – and ultimately towards self-realization: the realization of the soul’s unity with God. As he himself puts it: “Krishna’s words to Arjuna are both a profound exposition of the science of yoga and a guide to the art of living.”

“The Bhagavad Gita is not just a great work on yoga; it is a guide to the art of living.”
—Paramahansa Yogananda
